We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Architectural Draftsman to join our design and construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans based on the specifications provided by architects and engineers. This role requires proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, a strong understanding of architectural principles, and the ability to interpret and translate conceptual designs into precise construction documents.
As an Architectural Draftsman, you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that all drawings meet project requirements, building codes, and industry standards. You will be expected to revise drawings based on feedback, maintain organized documentation, and assist in the preparation of permit and construction documents. Attention to detail, time management, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Key responsibilities include preparing architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details; updating and modifying existing drawings; and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date. You will also be involved in site visits to gather measurements and verify existing conditions, as well as coordinating with other disciplines such as structural and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) to ensure cohesive design integration.
The successful candidate should have a diploma or degree in architectural drafting, architecture, or a related field, along with proven experience in drafting for residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software is required, and knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering tools is a plus.
